My primary focus is serving as the President of Local 320. For the past decade, I've been based in Duluth, and my work involves representing members across the Iron Range all the way up to the Canadian border. My experience and demeanor have earned me a reputation for being a strong, fair, and honest leader who consistently secures some of the best contracts for our members. My door is always open to anyone who needs to talk.
My journey with the Teamsters started over two decades ago. I began as a freight driver with Local 120 and was soon elected as a union steward. In 2000, I was elected to the Local 120 executive board as a trustee and served as a strike captain during a national freight strike. I was then hired as a full-time organizer and later became the Director of Organizing. One of my proudest achievements during that time was organizing over 180 Minneapolis parking ramp attendants.
In 2009, I brought my experience and passion to Local 320. Since then, I've served as the Special Projects Director, Business Agent, Recording Secretary, and President. I've represented members in school districts, cities, and counties throughout central Minnesota. In 2020, I led the successful St. Louis County Public Works strike, a moment I'm particularly proud of. I also have a Master's in Business Administration and a Bachelor's in Business Administration.
I'm incredibly proud of my accomplishments as an organizer, business agent, and my service on the Local 320 Executive Board. I am honored to announce that I am running for the position of Secretary-Treasurer and Principal Officer of Local 320, and I look forward to continuing to serve our members in this new capacity.

I currently serve as the Vice President of Teamsters Local 320, a position I've held since July 2024. My work involves representing a wide range of professionals, including paraprofessionals, bus drivers, police officers, and more. I am dedicated to improving the lives of our members and holding bad employers accountable. My members know they can always reach me, no matter the time, because serving them is my top priority.
My commitment to labor began long before my work at the union. For three years, I was a police officer in Colorado Springs before becoming a correctional officer at Stillwater Correctional Facility. In 2010, I joined the Dakota County Sheriff's Office as a Correctional Deputy and became an active Teamster member. I stepped up as a union steward in 2011, where I was deeply involved in enforcing our contract and negotiations. My passion for helping members led me to become a full-time Business Agent for Teamsters Local 320 in 2016. In October 2022, I was asked to join the Executive Board as the Recording Secretary before moving into my current role. My biggest accomplishments to date have been organizing over 550 new Teamsters in South Washington County and 40 bus drivers in White Bear Lake.
I am seeking the position of President of Teamsters Local 320. My extensive experience in organizing, negotiating, and leading has prepared me for this next step. I believe my hard work and servant's heart will allow me to continue fighting for the rights of our members and building a stronger, more equitable future for all. As a proud husband and father, I am committed to fighting for working families and ensuring the voice of every worker is heard and respected.

I currently serve as the Recording Secretary for Local 320, a position I was appointed to in 2024. In this role, I am the sole representative for public defense, Guardian ad Litem, and State Court Reporters, in addition to representing probation officers and various other groups. My work is focused on advocating for the rights of these essential public servants.
My career in the labor movement began in 2007 with AFSCME, where I organized corrections officers in Iowa and ran political campaigns for endorsed candidates at both the state and federal levels. I also served as a registered lobbyist for AFSCME. In 2009, I became the Director of Communications for the Kansas Organization of State Employees (KOSE).
I joined Local 320 in 2011 as a registered lobbyist and Director of Communications. Here, I developed political and communication strategies to fight against right-to-work laws and increase funding for vital public services like education and state courts. Over time, I expanded my representation to include a wide range of judicial and public defense staff. As a second-generation trade unionist, the values of labor were instilled in me from a young age.
My extensive experience in organizing, lobbying, and leadership has prepared me for the next step in my career. I am seeking the position of Vice President of Local 320. I plan to use my deep understanding of public service and my commitment to union values to continue fighting for the rights of working families. My future is dedicated to building a stronger, more equitable future for all, ensuring the voice of the worker is heard and respected at all levels of government.

I'm currently a Business Agent at Teamsters Local 320, a role I've held since 2020. I actively negotiate contracts, handle grievances, and represent my fellow members in mediations and arbitrations. My focus is on holding employers accountable, ensuring employees’ rights are protected, and fighting for fair, non-discriminatory, and safe workplaces. I also serve on the Women in Leadership Advisory Board at MN State University, Mankato, where I advocate for the interests of workers in rural Minnesota.
My commitment to my community and the labor movement began in 1995, respectively. As a proud mother and wife, I have always believed in the power of building and cherishing a strong community. I joined the Teamsters in 2007 and quickly became an active steward, which gave me invaluable experience in representing my coworkers and upholding our contract. This experience prepared me to step into my current role as Business Agent.
Looking Ahead
I am seeking the position of Recording Secretary at Local 320. I want to use my extensive experience to continue to grow, inspire, and support all union members. My goal is to empower others and ensure that we, as a union, can continue to win for our members, because Together we WIN!
